Abseil 2008

Humour the best way to face your fear!

Kirsty, Euan and Pete ready for action.

Spot the yellow Tshirts.

You guess who (because we can't).

Thumbs up from Fiona.

Val making sure she's seen with bright t shirt and shocking pink leg wear.

Our very own action man-Fundraising Director Wilson.

Ah! The cameraderie of jumping from the rail bridge

On 5th October 2008, six brave people took part in an abseil from the Forth Rail Bridge in order to raise funds for Queensferry Care.  There was initial trepidation but a great sense of excitement as the event got closer. All reported, after they had achieved their ambition, that it had been an exhilarating experience which was over too quickly. They would have welcomed the chance to have another turn.

We would like to thank the following participants for taking part, proving to themselves how capable they were of abseiling from the Bridge and raising money for Queensferry Care –

Valerie Edwards, Kirsty Hodge, Fiona Grant, Euan Marshall, Wilson Marshall and Peter Lowrie.

In excess of £2000 was raised including the invaluable gift aid from sponsors.

The photos say it all – could it be you next??
