Day Opportunities Support Worker

Allison was an Army wife for over 21 years, so is well-travelled.  Her last posting was 3 years in China.

Where do or did you work?

Allison joined QCCC at the end of 2019 as part of the Day Care relief team.  In August 2020 she started working 3 days a week as one of the support workers.

When and why did you get involved with QCCC?

Allison has always been involved with volunteering and used to bring school children to The Haven as part of inter generational work between the Haven and Dalmeny Primary school.  After taking on the role of her mums’ carer, when whe saw the job advertised, Allison knew that QCCC and this job was perfect for her.

What hobbies and interests do you have?

Allison loves all crafts and sewing, and is part part of a charity that makes wedding dresses into angel gowns.  Allison also made scrubs and gowns during the COVID pandemic.
