Day Opportunities Support Worker

Jennifer works as a Day Opportunities support worker on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

Where do or did you work?

Jennifer has worked in the care sector for 17 years as a carer and then a senior nursing assistant.  Before starting at QCCC Jennifer worked for an agency as a carer and support worker within different care settings which added to her skills set while learning a lot as well.

When and why did you get involved with QCCC?

Jennifer applied for the job as support worker in August 2020 due to a down turn in work with her previous job and started in the September.  She saw the job advertised and thought it sounded like a lovely place to work and she tells us it is!

What hobbies and interests do you have?

Jennifer doesn't have much time for hobbies but when she does she enjoys walking, going out for meals and her favourite thing to do when she gets the time is upcycling old unloved furniture and giving it a new lease of life.
