Where do or did you work?
Lynsay is a Festivals, Events, Retail & Business Lecturer at Edinburgh College in addition to being Company Owner/Director at Events with Moxie.
When and why did you get involved with QCCC?
Lynsay's late grandmother was always a very sociable person. A wonderful, strong woman whose personality and character was profoundly changed by Dementia. She saw her struggle and saw the struggle for the rest of the family – her Mum and Aunt particularly. What appeared to give her Grandma joy however, from the early stages to latterly when she moved into respite care, was maintaining that social aspect of her life. She appeared at her happiest and most contented when surrounded by friends, family, and any special visitors her care home arranged. Lynsay feels she knows first-hand the benefits of socialising for older people and those living with Dementia. QCCC delivers a quality service providing social contact and friendships for older people and their Carers and she is delighted that she can support QCCC in some small way.
What hobbies and interests do you have?
Zumba, Cinema, attending events (events are her business and her passion!)
