Happy 2nd Birthday to our Carers Supper Club
Updated:
8th September 2026 marks two years since Queensferry Care's Carers Supper Club began, two years of friendship, shared experiences, good conversation and meals together.
The group was created for former carers, because we know that support shouldn't simply end when caring does.
After months or years spent caring for someone you love, the end of that caring role, whether through bereavement or a move into residential care, can bring loneliness, uncertainty and the loss of a support network that has become an important part of life.
Our Carers Supper Club offers somewhere to stay connected, build friendships and spend time with people who understand.
As Jean, one of our members who has attended since the very beginning, explains:
"It makes a difference being able to see the same people on a regular basis....We have that connection, although we may not talk about our loved ones, we understand the pressures caring for someone who has a diagnosis of dementia can bring."
The Carers Supper Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month.
