I've lived in South Queensferry for 25 years, with my children growin up here, I've always enjoyed the sense of community.
When my children were at school, I volunteered my time to support both the primary and high school in various ways. When they left school, I was looking for a new community volunteering opportunity, but one that would fit in with my working life and the sandwich-generation juggle of supporting both young people and parents.
I saw an advert for Garden Tid y volunteers with Queensferry Care and thought it was just perfect for me. This will be my third summer of volunteering .
I love gardening and I love spending time in nature. I understand the pleasure and respite that a garden can provide, and the pride that comes with years of working on a garden. I also understand how sensitive it can ebe supporting someone with their garden, especially when they've been keen gardeners themselves.
