£15,000 award from ASFT Fund for Supper Clubs

Updated:

We were delighted to be awarded a grant of £15,000 for our two Supper Clubs and Carers Supper Club from ASFT Fund, administered by Foundation Scotland.

Our Supper Clubs are for people who have a cognitive impairment to attend with their carer or friend. One meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, the other on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

Our Carers Supper Club is for those whose caring responsibilities have changed due to their loved one moving to residential care or passing away. The fortnightly Carers Supper Clubs provide a supported environment for people to enjoy a meal in company and spend time with others who understand their situation at a time when other support steps away. The club meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.

These clubs deliver 48 sessions each year. Last year the clubs were run by our dedicated staff supported by 8 local volunteers, providing almost 400 hours of volunteer hours, with 34 local attendees benefitting from the service.

This funding will go directly towards the costs of running the clubs including staff, meals, transport and core costs.

If you would like to attend supper club or carers supper club and require further information please contact us on 0131 331 5570.
