Queensferry Primary Pupils Raise £417 for Queensferry Care
Updated:

We were thrilled to welcome students from Queensferry Primary School to The Haven today as they presented a cheque for £417 raised through a fantastic dress-down day! Head Teacher Karen McGregor accompanied the pupils as they handed over the funds to our Community Fundraising Officer Lindsey Devin and Day Opportunities Support Worker Allison Hobbs.
The children were inspired to take part in fundraising after Gillian, Aileen, April and Lindsey's incredible ‘Run into Christmas and Dive into the New Year’ challenge. Gillian's dedication to the Marcothon run and the enthusiasm shown by the Loony Dook team motivated the school to get involved, showcasing the true spirit of community support.
Back in December, we shared one of the most emotional moments of our challenge when the entire school lined the playground, cheering Gillian on as she completed one of her fastest runs yet. While we couldn’t capture photos of that incredible day, the memory will stay with us forever.
Funds raised will go directly towards supporting life-changing services for older people in our community, including day opportunities, befriending programmes, and meal clubs.
A huge thank you to the pupils, staff, and Head Teacher Karen McGregor for their support.
